How to Subscribe to My Email Lists
Subscribing is free and ensures that you won’t miss any of the informative articles and videos I produce. Subscribing is also risk free.
No Spam
I dislike spam as much as you do. I will only send you email I think you will find valuable. You can unsubscribe at any time, for any reason. There is a link at the bottom of every email that will take you to a page where you can change your subscription settings or unsubscribe immediately. In order to help me protect you from unwanted email I require you to confirm your subscription request.
Confirming Your Request
After you fill in and submit the form below, I will send you an email asking you to click on a link to confirm your desire to receive the free subscription. If you do not click the confirmation link you will not be subscribed and may miss out on some of the great information I produce for you.
After you confirm your subscription request, I will send you a welcome email. If you don’t receive the confirmation request or welcome message, my emails are probably being blocked by your spam filter.
After Inviting Me, Please Open Your Door
To ensure you recieve my emails you need to add my email address to a list of safe senders called a “whitelist.” Here is a video showing how to do this in Apple’s Mail app and here is one for Google’s Gmail.
Simple or Custom?
If you’re ready to join and want to keep it simple, complete the form below. This will start the process of subscribing you to the “all articles” list. After joining, you will receive an email notification for every article that gets published to the blog. Here’s the form, simply enter your name and email, select your primary genealogy database software from the drop-down list, then click submit:
If you’d rather not receive notices of articles about genealogy database programs you don’t use, you can subscribe to one or more of my focused article lists. There’s one for iFamily for Leopard, Reunion, and MacFamilyTree. Subcribing to one of these lists will cut down on the total number of emails you receive by restricting the articles of which you are notified. I must caution you about selecting this option! You risk missing out on valuable information by filtering this way, but it’s your call. I want you to be happy with your experiences here. So, for example, if you choose to subscribe to the Reunion focused list, you will be notified when articles are published that are in some way related to Reunion. You won’t get automatic notices of articles that aren’t about Reunion. I will occasionally send email to the list if there’s something I think you would find valuable, but it won’t be automatic, so I may miss something. Like the form above, find the form below for your software of interest and simply enter your name and email, select your primary genealogy database software from the drop-down list, then click submit:
